Sir Robertson Stewart Mourned
Christchurch mourned the loss of Sir Robertson Huntly Stewart who passed away on 13th August 2007.
A service to celebrate the life of Sir Robertson was held in the Christchurch Cathedral on Monday, 20th August 2007 and was attended by hundreds of mourners.
Bell, Lamb & Trotter Funeral Directors Limited extends their condolences to Lady Stewart, the Stewart family and felt honoured and privileged to provide support to the family during this difficult time.
Supporting Our Community
Ian and Suzanne Bell are keen to provide ongoing support to the Christchurch Cathedral. Also high on their list of priorities is to provide support for local clubs and charities by way of sponsorship.
Both Ian and Suzanne are active members on many boards and committees and are able to assist with fundraising, offering their expert advice and experience.
Suzanne Bell is an old girl of St Margaret's College. Bell, Lamb & Trotter Funeral Directors Limited have recently donated a Memorial Cabinet which will house two Memorial books. These books were donated by our company to the college during their Reunion Weekend at the end of October 2005.
The Memorial Cabinet will be dedicated at the Reunion Weekend Chapel Service which will commence at 9.30am, Sunday, 28th of October 2007.
Road Safety Exercise
Leading funeral directors Bell, Lamb and Trotter were recently involved in the "Dare to Drive to Survive" exercise which was held in the grounds of Van Asch Deaf Education Centre in Wakefield Avenue, Sumner.
Recent public discussion has suggested that a more realistic education campaign might help reduce the road toll. You can watch T.V, which most people are desensitized to, but the exercise which was carried out on 21st August took the education program into the community.
Bell, Lamb & Trotter will be supporting a new road safety programme soon to be launched, providing logistical support such as vehicles and staff when required.
